Homemade Sausage Recipes

Here are two recipes of the delicious sausage. Make them in the comfort of your home and enjoy its delicious taste without spending too much money.

HOMEMADE SUMMER SAUSAGE

Ingredients:
• 2 lb. lean ground beef
• 3/4 c. water
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. pepper
• 1/4 tsp. onion powder
• 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
• 2 tbsp. Morton Quick salt (meat cure)
• 1 tbsp. liquid smoke
• 1 tbsp. mustard seeds

Procedure:
1. Mix all ingredients well.
2. Form into 2 rolls and wrap in foil.
3. Refrigerate 24 hours.
4. With a fork poke holes in foil.
5. Place rolls on broiler rack.
6. Bake at 450 degrees for 1 hour.
7. Slice and serve (hot or cold).

HOMEMADE COUNTRY SAUSAGE

Ingredients:
• 5 lbs. ground hamburger
• 4 tbsp. Mortons Tender Quick Salt
• 1 tbsp. mustard seed
• 1 tbsp. black pepper
• 1 tbsp. garlic powder
• 1 tbsp. liquid smoke
• 2 tbsp. crushed red pepper flakes

Procedure:
1. Mix together and refrigerate.
2. Take out and knead once a day for three (3) days.
3. On the fourth day divide into fourths and roll out into long rolls.
4. Place onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 150 degrees for 10 (ten) hours.
